Cinionic, the Barco, CGS, and ALPD cinema joint venture, announced SP2K, the Barco Series 4 projector for smaller screens. The new lineup includes four new SP2K models ranging from 6,000 to 15,000 lumens, rounding out the Series 4 family. With this announcement, Cinionic makes its award-winning laser solutions accessible for every theater.
Designed for smaller screens, the Barco SP2K-7, SP2K-9, SP2K-11 and SP2K-15, yields the perfect resolution for brilliant images that will remain constant over time. The SP2K units are designed to be exceptionally quiet, with a noise output of only 40dB, making boothless installations easy for compact auditoriums.
The new models retain all the coveted features that have made Series 4 the leading standard in cinema laser projection today. The result — all the modularity, efficiency and brilliant images moviegoers and exhibitors have come to expect from this next-generation projection platform are now within reach for more theaters than ever before.
Barco Series 4 features exclusive patented technology, including Barco EcoPure and Barco AIM, for brighter, laser-sharp images that stay consistent over time. Thanks to reduced power consumption, eliminating wasteful lamps, easier maintenance and simpler operations; theaters enjoy significant cost-savings and a reduced carbon footprint for a greener way to go to the cinema.
