Elo I-Series 2.0 for Windows Announced

Elo I-SeriesThe Elo I-Series 2.0 for Windows, an enhanced version of Elo’s multi-purpose fixed-tablet form factor, was released this week. Built on Elo’s unified architecture, the new Elo I-Series 2.0 for Windows is designed with what they say is a higher level of security and enterprise infrastructure than most other collaboration boards.

Available with either 15- or 22-inch displays, the I-Series 2.0 for Windows offers powerful 8th-generation Intel processors including Celeron, Core i3 and Core i5. The new Elo I-Series also offers Elo Edge Connect ports on all four sides, allowing up to four peripherals at a time for increased configurability.

Elo Edge Connect offers a wide assortment of peripherals that snap on to the edge of the touchscreen, with the ability for businesses to customize their solution by adding up to four peripherals at a time. Designed to adapt quickly, peripherals are easy to add or swap out, based on the customer’s requirements. These peripherals include:

  • Fingerprint reader
  • Barcode scanner
  • Cradles for multiple payment devices
  • Magnetic swipe readers

Elo’s I-Series has the performance and security of Intel’s 8th generation processors and vPro platform. The Elo I-Series models are available with Windows 10, or with no OS for those who want to install alternate operating systems. Elo’s I-Series solutions are pretested with Linux SuSE, Ubuntu and Red Hat operating systems, allowing businesses to get the solution best suited for them.
