PPDS (aka: Philips Display) is reentering the hospitality market in North America, with the launch of a new line of Philips MediaSuite pro Android TVs — its flagship line of hotel TVs.
Arriving in North America after a 2020 launch in Europe, the new Philips MediaSuite family (HFL6114U series) is available in 43”, 50”, 55”, 65” and 75”, are al native 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) have what Philips calls a super-slim, black bezel design and they can be paired with a matching stand. Powered by Android TV OS and integrated with Chromecast, the lineup allows hotel guests to wireless stream photos, movies, music or even presentations from their compatible laptop or mobile device (Apple iOS, Android or Windows) without any downloads or hardware connectivity.
And, as they include Google Play, guests access to thousands of Play Store apps, including popular services such as local news, weather and traffic information, as well as content streaming from providers such as YouTube, Spotify, Disney+ and Netflix.
All MediaSuite TVs in North America are backed by an “Extended Lifetime” promise that means that the HFL6114U models can all be centrally managed and upgraded to the latest version of Android TV OS whoever Google issues an upgrade.
